A Deeper Look at Body Composition
Some changes don't show up on the scales. The RD-445 HR uses dual-frequency Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to analyse each arm, each leg and your torso separately. It measures 21 body composition values, including the exclusive Muscle Quality Score™, which looks at muscle quality and muscle mass.
Results are ready in around 15 seconds and appear on the integrated colour display. Previous readings can be viewed on screen using the Recall function. The RD-445 HR stores up to five user profiles and includes Athlete Mode, Guest Mode and measurements for children.

Dual-Frequency Body Composition Analysis
The RD-445 measures body composition using low and high frequency Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). Hand-held electrodes analyse each arm, each leg and your torso separately, giving individual results for each area. Results are ready in around 15 seconds.
Exclusive Muscle Quality Score™
The exclusive Muscle Quality Score™ measures muscle quality alongside muscle mass. A higher score indicates denser, more contractile muscle tissue.
Measures 21 Body Composition Values
You'll see your weight, Muscle Quality Score™, muscle mass, segmental muscle mass, body fat percentage, segmental body fat percentage, visceral fat, total body water, bone mass, body mass index (BMI), basal metabolic rate (BMR), metabolic age and physique rating.
View Results on the Colour Display
Results appear on the integrated colour display. You can also look back at previous readings on screen using the Recall function.
Spots Small Changes
Weight is measured in 50 g increments below 100 kg. Dual-frequency BIA and TANITA's 4C™ technology achieve up to 98% accuracy.
More Measurement Options
Athlete Mode recognises higher activity levels when calculating body composition. Guest Mode records one-off readings without saving user data. The whole family can use it, and it works for children too.
