Taurus Racer Pro Smart Bike

Went to try a few bikes in Birmingham store. As a road cyclist this bike felt really good, very smooth and solid. Very happy with my purchase

A solidly built spinning bike. Well-suited for use by multiple people – the bike's size is easy and quick to adjust. Finely adjustable electronic resistance. However, the pedals should be of better quality for a bike in this price range. Unfortunately, the standard threads for road bike/MTB pedals were not used, meaning they cannot be easily replaced with your own (a real shame).

Ideal for the colder months and for all ambitious road cyclists. I was looking for a bad-weather alternative and I'm more than satisfied. A super stable bike with countless training options. I've been training for a while now and have tested various brands, but the Racer Pro Touch has won me over.

We were looking for an alternative to other high-end indoor bikes with a freewheel. The Racer Pro Touch offers fantastic value for money in this category! We are very happy with our purchase.

We've been testing the Taurus Racer Pro Touch with our whole family for over six months now. Conclusion: Delivery and setup were completely straightforward. It's very quick to adjust to the different sizes of all five family members. The noise level during use is so low that it can easily be used in our living room while others are watching TV, for example. I use it with the Kinomap app. After the two-week trial period ends, you can continue using the app, but only without videos. You then see the tracks and the opponents you're racing against virtually in a view similar to Google Maps. For me, that's perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, the Racer's buttons for adjusting the resistance levels don't work with Kinomap. You have to adjust the resistance on the tablet. The various sports programs that can be used with iConsole Plus also work well. It gives you the feeling of being in a gym (just without the other athletes)! The buttons on the handlebars, which allow you to adjust the resistance levels, also work here. I also tried Zwift. I installed Zwift on my phone and connected it to the bike. It worked perfectly. I wish I could have installed and run Zwift on the bike's tablet. Unfortunately, this isn't possible. The connection of my Polar chest strap for heart rate monitoring (H10) on the bike is problematic. Sometimes the bike recognizes it, sometimes it doesn't. We have the same problem with the Garmin chest strap. Older chest straps don't work at all. However, since I only use the Polar app for my training data, this isn't a major issue for me, as my training watch records my heart rate. We're currently still trying to find the right saddle. Not all users are satisfied with the included saddle. However, it can be replaced with any saddle you like. Overall, we are very satisfied. The Racer allows you to stay fit at different levels, engage in rehabilitation, or push yourself to your absolute limit. This is exactly what we wanted. If you ask me about areas for improvement, they lie in the unstable connection with heart rate monitor straps and the Racer's integration with other apps. Furthermore, it would be fantastic if training data could be transferred to Polar or Garmin apps. Updates to the device could also include the installation of all popular fitness apps, or at least offer the option to install a specific app. This would eliminate the need to use a smartphone to control apps like Zwift, freeing up the larger screen of a tablet.
