WHAT IS EMS
EMS or electrostimulation is a method of making muscles contract with a low-frequency electric pulse. When we lift things, we recruit the exact amount of muscle fibres we need for the task. EMS recruits more muscle fibres, forcing a contraction and thus helping us grow muscle faster. Studies have suggested a 27% increase in strength with EMS and a 15% increase in explosiveness.
WHAT IS TENS
TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, but don't worry! We can simplify that for you. TENS is a method of EMS used for pain relief.
