Great Treadmill
Been looking for a treadmill for a while, and to be honest it’s a minefield. There’s so much choice, and the only brand I’d heard of is Peloton. But after watching hundreds of YouTube and Amazon reviews I settled on the CardioStrong TX30 treadmill. It’s very heavy at 93Kg so you need help to set it up. Once it’s out of the very well packaged box, it’s quite simple to assemble. Four screws in the screen supports, then the screen is a bit fiddly to push in place but once it’s in four more screw and you’re done. Six screws in the plastic side panels and it’s good to go. The screen is flat when it arrives and I was a bit apprehensive about lifting it up into position at its VERY stiff. However a quick call to the fitshop helpline solved the problem, just give it a good push. Sorted. I then installed the free ‘Fitshow’ app on my tablet, turned on the treadmill and the app connected to it via Bluetooth. Being a free app you don’t get loads of walks or exercises to do, but it’s enough for me, and if you want more you can subscribe. The treadmill itself is fantastic very, very sturdy and well built. I’m 63 and disabled so it’s good to have a sturdy handrail, as I’m unsteady on my feet and walk with a stick. Once you pick a walk on the app, you can go at your own pace, increasing or decreasing the speed easily at the turn of a dial in front of you. Really nice feature is if the walk goes up a hill then the machine rises automatically to make you feel as though you’re going uphill too. My wife and 16 year old son are also very impressed with this treadmill and it feels like it’ll take a good pounding from my son who unlike me will be running on the thing at full speed. It’s also surprisingly quiet, even at full speed. So if you’re looking for a decent treadmill at a great price you won’t go wrong with this one. Very highly recommended!
