cardiostrong BX70i Upright Exercise Bike

This machine is a no frills, solid value for money product. Well put together and feels like it'll last a very long time if used and maintained according to manufacturer specifications. Got the preassembled one, and although there was a lot of back and forth with Powerhouse Fitness to send missing parts, we got there in the end and I am very pleased with my purchase, hence 5 stars.

Excellent upright bike. The step-through design makes it perfect even for my older clients. The seat cushioning is superb, very comfortable and can be adjusted in seconds. There's 32 resistance levels which makes is great for clients of all fitness levels.

Having just had hip surgery I was looking for something just to ease myself back into the world of exercise and this bike is just perfect, instead of having to lift my leg and hip in order to get onto the bike the easy walk through section makes this more ideal for myself and with 32 resistance levels it will certainly keep me pushing on, only down side for me was the screen being a wee bit hard to read with my vision not being at its best but that just myself of course.

After buying this for myself and husband just to get moving a little bit more. I am very happy with the product overall. We had an engineering team build the bike for us from Powerhouse and they were very courteous while sticking to the Covid restrictions. The information on the console is slightly too much for me and my husband to understand, we are not sure how to use the programs. But the basic information of how long we have cycled for and the calories burnt is more than enough for us. I find the seat very comfortable and the handle bars are the perfect height for us both.

Ordering 10/10 Ordering process was simple and straighforward. No issues. Delivery 10/10 Was quoted up to 14 days. Arrived within 4 days. Standard delivery. Excellent. Packaging 10/10 Extremely well packaged. Little chance of getting damaged in transit. Assembly 8/10 Took approx 75 mins to assemble. Tools (allen key and spanner supplied). Did use my own allen keys. Instructions were reasonably easy to follow but some better pictures for the bolts and washers would have made the experience better. Slight design change to the bracket for fitting computer console made it very difficult to tighten 2 of the screws. I think the design of fitting the components together could be improved with a little thought. If you put together Ikea furniture you will realise just how clever the design is and how simple things are made. Not up to Ikea design levels but still easy and straightforward. Quality This is a very well built bike. Extremely heavy and solid construction. Not quite as good as some of the heavy duty gym bikes I have used but for home use I would expect this to last a very long time. The riding experience 9/10 Easy to adjust saddle and saddle height. Handlebars very study. Console is bright and easy to read. Bought this for my 84 year old dad to shift some weight and build strength in his legs after a serious injury and 2nd hip replacement. He suffers from dementia and struggles with very simple everyday tasks but even he could handle the console when using just basic manual mode. Pedals not so great. Because my dad struggles badly with walking, decided not to use the straps for the pedals. His feet would slip and slide on the provided pedals. I bought a cheapish set of regular cycle pedals for £18 from a bike shop and this solved the issue. It has all the training modes that most home users could wish for. Heart rate monitors are very good. All in all, I would give the bike 9.5/10. A good bike at a very good price.

Amazing quality and service, would recommend!

The best thing about this bike is the bluetooth connection which allows you to connect to exercise apps that automatically change the resistance on the machine when you go up a hill in the video or whatever. Kinomaps is the app I use and it works a treat. Other things like the good base range of exercises, 4 user profiles for the family and the easy step through feature makes this bike a winner for us.

Such a solid bike and feels like gym quality. Really easy step through function that makes getting on and off the bike really easy. Handles do not move but on this style of bike does not effect the user.

The BX70i is sturdy and easy to use. The programmes are great and it has enough resistance it suits the whole family.
