The Atlantic Saunas Infrared Snug 2 Person Sauna brings that cosy sauna vibe home. It keeps the best bits of the original Snug but replaces the traditional stove with far infrared heat, so you get more space inside and a gentler, steady warmth that’s easy to sink into. It’s made for two and fits neatly into a spare room, loft or tucked-away corner of your home setup.

There are eight carbon fibre heaters inside that warm your body directly, not just the air around you. You’ve got a control panel inside and out, plus a remote if you don’t fancy getting up mid-session. The cabin’s built from smooth Canadian Hemlock, a non-toxic wood that holds up well under heat and stays cool to the touch. You’ll find an oxygen ioniser inside, just to keep things fresh. There’s also a sound system if you fancy putting some music or a podcast on while you chill.

Is the sauna easy to assemble?
Yes, it usually takes around 45 minutes. The sauna arrives flat-packed in two packages, and the panels slot together neatly. All the tools you’ll need are included. A clear step-by-step manual comes with it too.

Does the sauna need any ventilation or plumbing?
No plumbing is required. The sauna is self-venting, with a sliding vent to help manage heat. It sits slightly raised on four supports, so airflow underneath keeps the floor protected too.

Is it tricky to put together in a loft or basement?
As long as the panels can fit through the door or hatch, you’re good to go. The flat-packed design is easy to move around, and there’s no need for special flooring, wiring or ventilation. It can be set up in a spare room, garage, loft or basement.

Can this sauna be used outside?
Only if it’s placed in a sheltered space like a summerhouse or garden building. For anything fully exposed to the weather, have a look at the outdoor sauna range.

Is installation available?
We offer free delivery with every sauna, but installation isn’t included, as it needs to be hard-wired by a qualified electrician. Most people put it together themselves, as everything’s included to do the job. If you'd rather have someone do it for you, you’re welcome to arrange a local tradesperson.

How much clearance is needed?
Allow at least 15 cm above the sauna, so the ceiling height should be 205 cm or more.

Can I just plug the sauna into a regular wall socket?
It’s not recommended. The sauna operates close to (or just above) the 13A limit of a standard UK plug, depending on voltage. It must be hard-wired into its own dedicated circuit by a qualified electrician.

Why can’t I use an extension lead?
Because it’s not just about convenience — it’s about safety. The sauna draws high current, and an extension lead might overheat or even cause a fire. Don’t risk it.

Please note:

If installing upstairs, make sure the largest panel (120 x 190 cm) will fit through any access points.

This sauna must be hard-wired on its own circuit. The UK voltage range of 216.2V–253.0V gives it an amp range of 11.86–13.88. UK domestic plugs are capped at 13A, so this setup should not be used with an extension lead. If you’re unsure, always consult a qualified electrician.
