The Atlantic Saunas Mono Traditional Indoor Sauna gives you that classic dry heat feel in a space that’s just right for one. It runs on a 2.3 kW Harvia stove that delivers steady, even warmth throughout the cabin. The compact square footprint makes it easy to fit into a spare room, loft or basement, while still giving you everything you'd expect from a traditional setup.

The frame is made from Canadian Hemlock, a smooth, low-odour wood that stays solid under heat. Insulated double-wall panels help lock the warmth in. There’s a sturdy floor panel, airflow vents, and the whole structure comes in prefabricated sections that easily click together. 

The Mono Traditional runs on a 2.3 kW Harvia stove that gives you dry, even heat. It warms the cabin gradually and stays consistent from the moment it’s up to temp. 

The sauna has a small footprint and insulated dual-wall panels that help keep the heat in. It’s set up for one person and fits neatly into a spare corner, loft or anywhere with enough headroom. 

100% Canadian Hemlock, non-toxic and non-allergenic, stays smooth under heat and doesn’t give off any strong smells. It’s cool to the touch, stable through use, and backed by a solid floor panel for extra support. 

The Mono comes in prefabricated sections that slot into place with minimal tools. The structure is stable once assembled and doesn’t need specialist flooring or extra fixings. 

Is the sauna easy to assemble?
Yes, it usually takes around 45 minutes. The sauna arrives flat-packed in five boxes and the panels slot together neatly. All the tools you’ll need are included. A clear step-by-step manual comes with it too.

Does the sauna need any ventilation or plumbing?
No plumbing is required. The sauna is self-venting, with a sliding vent to help manage heat. It sits slightly raised on four supports, so airflow underneath keeps the floor protected too.

Is it tricky to put together in a loft or basement?
As long as the panels can fit through the door or hatch, you’re good to go. The flat-packed design is easy to move around, and there’s no need for special flooring, wiring or ventilation. It can be set up in a spare room, garage, loft or basement.

Can this sauna be used outside?
Only if it’s placed in a sheltered space like a summerhouse or garden building. For anything fully exposed to the weather, have a look at the outdoor sauna range.

Is installation available?
We offer free delivery with every sauna, but installation isn’t included, as it needs to be hard-wired by a qualified electrician. Most people put it together themselves, as everything’s included to do the job. If you'd rather have someone do it for you, you’re welcome to arrange a local tradesperson.

How much clearance is needed?
Allow at least 15 cm above the sauna, so the ceiling height should be 205 cm or more.

Can I just plug the sauna into a regular wall socket?
It’s not recommended. The sauna operates close to (or just above) the 13A limit of a standard UK plug, depending on voltage. It must be hard-wired into its own dedicated circuit by a qualified electrician.

Why can’t I use an extension lead?
Because it’s not just about convenience — it’s about safety. The sauna draws high current, and an extension lead might overheat or even cause a fire. Don’t risk it.

Please note:

If installing upstairs, make sure the largest panel (90 x 190 cm) will fit through any access points.

This sauna must be hard-wired on its own circuit. The UK voltage range of 216.2V–253.0V gives it an amp range of 11.86–13.88. UK domestic plugs are capped at 13A, so this setup should not be used with an extension lead. If you’re unsure, always consult a qualified electrician.
